Resort Reviews for Sutherland Crossing

We stayed at Sutherland Crossing Resort a couple of years ago. This is a GREEN Lodge. The individual cottages homes are unique and cottage-like to give you a private up north feel. The resort is quite and peaceful. Has a small pool & hot tub. Putt-putt golf and volleyball. There is no beach on site, but some of the best beaches in the world in a short drive or boat ride. The resort is a nature preserve area with a long pier going into the bay. The Club house also has scheduled activities. This is a good family vacation spot. This is not a place for SPRING break partiers or jetsetters.

This is a great resort if you want a quiet, restful vacation and want to get to the gulf side beaches. The staff is very friendly, the units are very comfortable for our family of 8, the resort amenities keep everyone happy, and the beautiful setting is exceptional. We absolutely love it here and look forward to many returns. The units, although older, are clean and spacious. This is a family friendly place and the staff works hard to make sure your vacation is a great one. We love Honeymoon Island Beaches which are only a 7 minute drive from the resort. This resort will not wow you if you want a new, busy, college spring-break type of setting.

Our stay at Sutherland crossing was pleasant, it is very quiet if you are looking for relaxation. I was a little far away for everything for our liking.The condo's are very outdated and need alot of work. We had to have maintenance in our condo at least 3 times in the week we were there. The pool was very small but the staff was very nice. I wouldn't reccomend this place for anone with children there isn't much for them to see or do.

AWESOME! That is what we have to say about Sutherland Crossing! We found it through our RCI Membership and we are so glad we did! Our children ages are under 10, and all three had a blast. We awoke most mornings to dolphins and baby dolphins feeding off the pier! We took day trips to Honeymoon Beach, Clearwater Aquarium and Boat tour, as well as several of the communities in the immediate area! We enjoyed Greek Cuisine and LOVED the small Aquarium in the next town. email for more!
