The Edelweiss is located in the heart of the Whitefish Mountain Resort Village, just 600 feet from the Glacier Chaser ski lift. Winter at Whitefish Mountain Resort offers over 3,000 acres of downhill skiing and snowboarding as well as cross country skiing, snowmobiling, horse drawn sleigh rides and dinners, night skiing, snowshoeing and moonlight gondola rides. Summer activities at Whitefish Mountain Resort include mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing lessons, zip-Line tour, alpine slide, and gondola rides. From the Whitefish Mountain Resort Village guests enjoy the view of the Flathead Valley below. Gondola rides, mountain bikes or a mountain hike access the summit for breath taking views of Glacier Park, Bob Marshall Wilderness and the Canadian Rockies. Guests go whitewater rafting, river fishing, wildlife viewing, golfing and boating on Whitefish or Flathead Lake. The changing colors of Fall are spectacular in September. October is a transition month and a very quiet time. The transition from winter to spring is an anxiously awaited event. As the mountains surrounding the Flathead Valley give up their blankets of white, whitewater rafting and golfing become the activities of choice. Mountain bikers and hikers take to the road in May. A couple of golf course openings usually overlap with the last week or so of skiing.
