With the Olympic Mountains as a backdrop, Blue Heron has its own private beach on Hood Canal, where Oysters and clams abound on the beach, and in season crab, shrimp and a large variety of fish are available off shore. This timeshare resort offers a swimming pool, tennis, sauna, games room, and laundry equipment. Grass Lake Refuge, nearby, is home to 100 different species of birds, and over 200 species of plants. Seasonal whale watching is a popular pastime with Pacific Ocean access a short drive away. Washington's capital, Olympia is a 30 minute drive to the South from the resort, and the towns of Port Townsend and Port Angeles are only about one hour north, with a Ferry to the historic city of Victoria, BC from Port Townsend. The Pacific Ocean beaches are within 90 minutes to the west, and Seattle is 3 hours northeast. Seattle International Airport is located 60 miles away. Blue Heron is a beautiful destination area, rich with Native American history and attractions to please all. Nearby attractions and amenities include a beach, boating, fishing, golf, grocery store, hairdresser, live entertainment, medical facilities, restaurant, shopping area, water skiing, and wind surfing.
