Balboa Park is less than 5 miles from the resort. It is the nation's largest urban park, coming in at 1,174 acres, and includes 8 gardens, 15 museums, 9 restaurants, a golf course, the San Diego Zoo, a puppet theater, golf course, and the world's largest outdoor organ (and this isn't even a close to a complete list), you could do something different in Balboa Park every day for the next two months. The San Diego Zoo, located inside Balboa Park, houses 4,000 animals representing 800 species. Exhibits include Monkey Trails and Forest Tails, Giant Panda Research Station, Polar Bear Plunge, and Tiger River. Ensure you visit SeaWorld San Diego and experience the wonderfully amazing creatures of the sea and enjoy an array of SeaWorld's exciting rides and attractions. Open year-round. Water lovers will also find endless possibilities. Cruise the bay on a boat excursion. Hang ten at Pacific Beach. Watch for whales at the Cabrillo National Monument. Scuba dive or snorkel off La Jolla Cove, where you'll find an aquatic ecological reserve just waiting to be explored.
