Chateau Rouge is a multiple A-frame style lodge is located on Hwy 212, at the foot of the Beartooth- Absaroka Wilderness and near the spectacular Beartooth Pass; gateway to Yellowstone Park. You can stroll along Rock Creek to downtown shops, museums, and galleries, or observe interesting activities. Whether its skiing, golfing, horseback riding, hiking, biking, fishing, rafting or shopping, there are activities for everyone in Red Lodge Montana year round. The spring and fall seasons offer a very attractive atmosphere for quiet relaxation and showcase nature's extraordinary changes in this beautiful mountain region. Try hiking alongside the many canyon drainages from the Beartooth Mountains with their cascading and roaring whitewater. Biking, early season fishing, and golf are also options. Winter is also an exciting time of year with local snow sports at Red Lodge Mountain Ski Resort and Red Lodge Nordic Center. The Ski Resort offers snowmaking capabilities with 17 new snow guns. The Mountain also has a Magic Carpet lift in the beginner area. Not only does the mountain include 1,600 acres and nearly 73 trails, but being right next to the Beartooth Mountains, the views from Red Lodge Mountain are stunning.
