Enjoy a leisurely, California-style vacation this year at Pine Acres Lodge. Pacific Grove adjoins Monterey and is the starting point of a spectacular 17-mile drive to Carmel. Seven golf courses can be found within a 10-mile radius of the resort. Two blocks away you'll find a stunning coastline. Also close by are opportunities for deep-sea fishing, hiking, horseback riding, and tennis. At the resort, the sauna is the perfect place to close your eyes and escape from your daily routine. The Jacuzzi is ideal for relaxation. In Pacific Grove, stop and admire the "butterfly trees"-pine trees covered with monarch butterflies from October to March. Every Year in early October the Monarch Butterflies migrate to Pacific Grove. It's a beautiful sight to behold as new generations of butterflies flood the trees at the monarch reserve, just around the corner from our lodge. Come to the butterfly parade and celebrate with us their anticipated annual arrival.
Another resort in the local area is Pacific Grove Plaza. Situated about 130 miles south of San Francisco, Pacific Grove is the starting point of a scenic 17-mile drive to Carmel. Your vacation home is set on the Monterey Peninsula, only three blocks from a sandy ocean beach and 10 minutes from world-famous Carmel and Pebble Beach, 16 golf courses, a host of tennis courts, and countless water-sports opportunities. Be sure to visit Cannery Row, with its art galleries and seafood restaurants; Allen Knight Maritime Museum; Monterey State Historic Park; San Carlos Cathedral; and Monterey Bay Aquarium.
