Spectacular coral reefs are in the area for you to explore while scuba diving, snorkeling, or via a glass-bottom boat. One of the most famous areas is John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, 50 miles away. If you prefer to enjoy the ocean from land, you can soak in the sun or stroll along the public beach, two miles away. Nearby attractions include the Seven Mile Bridge, Sombrero Key,and beaches with great swimming and snorkeling. Marathon has a regional airport just a mile away. Miami International is a two hour drive and Key West is just over an hour. For the avid fishermen the on site marina allows easy access to ocean fishing as well as great bay fishing.
