Located on the tidal marsh of Broad Creek near the mouth of Shelter Cove Harbour, Marriott's Sunset Pointe offers 1,150-square-foot, two-bedroom, and two-bath villas, each with a private balcony. WiFi is available in all villas. Recreational amenities include two outdoor swimming pools (one heated), three lighted clay tennis courts, a bocce court, a shuffleboard court, a fitness center, on-property bike rentals, a supervised activity program, and barbecue areas. A MarketPlace Express is in the lobby. The resort's beach access is two miles away. It seems no other destination in the world is as worthy of a leisurely bike ride than the beautiful salt marshes and beaches of Hilton Head Island. Play the courses the pros play with more than 20 PGA sanctioned courses to choose from—one more spectacular than the next. Search for fossilized shark's teeth in the sands of Barrier Island Beach. Ride horseback through Sea Pines Plantation. Lessons are given at the equestrian center, but experienced riders can saddle right up and enjoy 600 acres of a virtually untouched nature preserve. The Lighthouse at Harbour Town provides a breathtaking view of the Calibogue Sound and you can climb one hundred steps to the top. Take a two-hour nature kayak tour by introducing yourself to the pristine and scenic waterways of the South Carolina low country.
Another resort in the area you may like is Spinnaker at Shipyard. The Spinnaker at Shipyard vacation condominiums is set amid the lush fairways and tranquil lagoons of Shipyard Plantation. You'll enjoy the outdoor pool, whirlpool, two tennis courts, and picnic area. Golf is available for a fee at a nearby golf course. Bicycles are available to all guests of the Spinnaker.
