Carlsbad Inn puts an entire realm of oceanfront activities at your doorstep. Local marinas can outfit you with everything you need for a day of boating or fishing. Back on land, you can play golf and tennis within six miles, work out in the resort's gym, or take a dip in the outdoor pool. For sight-seeing, Knott's Berry Farm (67 miles), Disneyland (61 miles), San Diego Zoo (35 miles), Wild Animal Park, Seaworld (31 miles) and Legoland (6 miles) are within an easy drive. Tours to Ensenada, Mexico, and J. Paul Getty Museum/Hollywood are provided from this resort location. Just steps to the majestic Pacific Ocean, the beautiful Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort is in the heart of the picturesque coastal Village of Carlsbad. Stroll through the large lush green courtyard to the steps leading down to the rolling surf or walk to the quaint Village of Carlsbad and visit the many boutiques and cafes.

Grand Pacific MarBrisa Resort is a resort in the area. Carlsbad beaches offer a variety of activities from surfing, swimming, horseshoes, and sunbathing to skin diving, windsurfing, camping, kayaking and boogie boarding. Carlsbad State Beach is about five miles long, has picnic areas on the beach and above on the bluff overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. Another beautiful beach is: South Carlsbad State Beach, this San Diego beach has popular campsites on a cliff overlooking the ocean. There are stairs provided to access the secluded beach to swim, surf, skin dive, fish or picnic. The beach is open to the public but there are no day-use facilities. South Carlsbad State Beach is located at Poinsettia Lane approximately 3 miles south of Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort and Hotel on Carlsbad Boulevard. There is something for everyone.
